Substitution Policy

At A Crooked Stem Flowers & Gifts, every arrangement is thoughtfully designed using fresh, seasonal flowers. Because flowers are a natural and perishable product, substitutions may occasionally be necessary due to availability, seasonality, or quality standards.


We make every effort to match the overall style, color palette, and value of the original selection. If a specific flower is unavailable, we may substitute it with a similar bloom of equal or greater value to ensure your arrangement remains beautiful and long-lasting.


For designs that include specialty or premium blooms, substitutions may be made within the same color family and design aesthetic. Containers or vases may also be substituted when necessary, but will always be of equal or greater value.


Rest assured—our designers take great care to maintain the integrity, quality, and spirit of every arrangement we create.


If you have a must-have flower or do not wish to allow substitutions, please let us know at the time of ordering.

Planning a wedding can be overwhelming and stressful. We're on a mission to keep the floral design part simple & fun.

Design Process

Step 1

Consultation Q&A

An online questionnaire, asking a few questions so we can get a sense of who you are and what you care about.

Step 2

Design Recommendation

We’ll provide you with a quick quote and our recommendations to best suit your budget, priorities and the vision.

Step 3

Planning Session

Eight weeks prior to the day we’ll meet (in person or via Zoom) to run through the vision, talk through any updates and changes to the plan and finalise the details.

Step 4

Your Wedding Day

Don’t stress! Pop the champagne and enjoy the day. Roxanne and her team have all the details sorted and we’ll be on-site to help navigate all the flower details.
